Chandigarh, October 17, 2025 — During the Kharif procurement season 2025-26, the Haryana government has directly transferred ₹5,932.47 crore to farmers’ bank accounts, ensuring timely payment at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
A total of 35,34,452 metric tons of paddy has been procured so far from state mandis. Procurement has been conducted from 2,02,812 farmers registered on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal, which helps in maintaining transparency and efficiency in payments.
A spokesperson from the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department said that all district mandis are operating smoothly under the supervision of Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation (HAFED), Warehouses, and Food & Supply Agencies. Farmers are being guided to bring properly dried paddy adhering to government norms, such as 17% moisture content, to ensure correct pricing.
The total paddy inflow across state mandis has reached 38,92,348 metric tons, with 27,11,226 metric tons already lifted and processed. The government emphasized that MSP of ₹2,389 per quintal set by the central government remains unchanged, and all payments are being credited directly to farmers’ bank accounts without any deductions.
Authorities have ensured adequate arrangements in mandis, including electricity, clean drinking water, and sanitation facilities. Cleaning of paddy at procurement centers is being managed by commission agents, while handling charges such as filling, weighing, stitching, and loading are borne by the government to reduce farmers’ costs.
District administrations have been instructed to regularly inspect mandis to prevent any inconvenience to farmers during the sale of their crops.
