Chandigarh, February 11, 2025: The Haryana Government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing free bus travel for students, ensuring that school and college students can avail of the bus pass facility up to 150 km at no cost.
The scheme, which has been in effect since July 5, 2024, benefits students from schools, colleges, and institutions affiliated with the Haryana Government, recognized state boards, or universities. The Transport Department confirmed that no modifications have been made to the facility, keeping it intact as per the original announcement.
Previously, under the earlier government, students were only eligible for a concessional bus pass with a travel limit of 60 km. The current scheme significantly expands the distance limit, easing transportation costs for students across the state.
