Haryana Government Transfers Bhiwani Teacher Death Case to CBI After Public Outcry

Bhiwani (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana government has decided to transfer the investigation into the death of a 19-year-old teacher from Singhani village, Bhiwani, to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The move follows growing anger among locals and opposition pressure demanding an impartial probe.

CM Promises Fairness

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing the issue on social media, said the administration was determined to deliver justice. “The government is committed to working with full seriousness and transparency in the Bhiwani case. On the family’s request, the matter will now be probed by the CBI. Justice will definitely be ensured,” the CM assured.

The victim, identified as Manisha, a playschool teacher, was reported missing on August 11 after she left school to visit a nursing college. Her body was later recovered on August 13 from fields near her village.

Police Version Sparks Anger

Police have claimed that their inquiry points towards suicide. Bhiwani SP Sumit Kumar said that a suicide note, her Aadhaar card, and other documents were recovered near the body. Forensic tests confirmed the presence of insecticide in her system, matching records that showed she had purchased the substance. Officials also ruled out sexual assault in the post-mortem findings.

Family Rejects Suicide Claim

However, Manisha’s family has strongly opposed the police account, insisting that she was murdered. Her father, Sanjay, accused the authorities of negligence and refused to perform her last rites until those responsible were held accountable. “My daughter cannot take her own life. I demand justice,” he said.
