Chandigarh, September 14 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047, the state government has strengthened its education system and is committed to making Haryana a leading state in the field of education. The government aims to fully implement the New National Education Policy (NEP) in the state by 2025.
The Chief Minister announced that ten new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) will be established, generating employment for lakhs of youth. He further highlighted that during the past ten and a half years, over 1.8 lakh youths have been provided government jobs purely on merit, without recommendations or expenses.

Saini was addressing the gathering as the chief guest at the 75th Foundation Day of the Saini Educational Institution. He inaugurated the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Shiksha Sadan and laid the foundation stone of the new building of Saini Public School. He also congratulated the institution for its remarkable contribution in spreading education over the past 75 years since its establishment in 1941. On this occasion, he announced a grant of ₹51 lakh from his voluntary fund, while Rajya Sabha MP Ramchandra Jangra pledged ₹21 lakh for the institution.
The Chief Minister paid tribute to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule, describing them as pioneers of social reform and education, particularly women’s empowerment and upliftment of the underprivileged. He also recalled the contributions of notable figures from the Saini community in social reform, sports, art, and the freedom movement.
Highlighting the government’s education reforms, Saini said every child is being ensured admission under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. Steps like digital classrooms, e-learning, scholarships, safe transport for girls, and sanitation facilities are being expanded. More than 5,000 schools have been connected with Wi-Fi, while over 5 lakh tablets, 40,000 digital boards, and 1,201 ICT labs have been distributed or set up.
Haryana has also introduced artificial intelligence, coding, and skill development programs at the school level, while higher education is being strengthened with research and innovation initiatives. A total of 250 PM Shri Schools, 1,420 Rajkiya Model Sanskriti Primary Schools, and 218 Rajkiya Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools have been established across the state.
Saini noted that meritorious students from government schools are receiving free coaching and scholarships, with several excelling in IIT-JEE and NEET exams through the Super-100 program. Backward classes have been empowered through 27% reservation in education and jobs, as well as access to low-interest education loans for domestic and overseas studies.
The Chief Minister also emphasized fee waivers for students from economically weaker families, free transport facilities for thousands of schoolchildren, and admission support for underprivileged students in private schools.
On the occasion, meritorious students and philanthropists were felicitated. Several dignitaries, including Rajya Sabha MP Ramchandra Jangra, former minister Manish Kumar Grover, and senior leaders of the Saini community, were present.
