Chandigarh, October 17, 2025 — On the completion of one year of its third term, the Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, presented significant benefits to poor families and social security pensioners. Under the second phase of the ‘Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana’, 8,029 beneficiaries across 141 villages and 2 Mahagram Panchayats received allocation certificates, while the second phase of the Urban Housing Scheme saw 518 plots allotted in Pinjore city.
Chief Minister Saini, attending the state-level ceremony in Panchkula as the chief guest, handed over allocation certificates to selected beneficiaries. The event was broadcast live across all districts, allowing citizens statewide to witness the announcements. Prominent attendees included Haryana Assembly Speaker Shri Harvinder Kalyan, MLA Smt. Shakti Rani Sharma, and former Assembly Speaker Shri Gyan Chand Gupta.

Increase in Social Security Pension:
The Chief Minister announced a ₹200 increase in the social security pension, raising the monthly benefit from ₹3,000 to ₹3,200, effective from November 1, 2025. He also assured beneficiaries receiving 100-yard plots that Tehsils would remain open on Dhanteras for facilitating property registration.
Development Grants for Panchayats and Urban Bodies:
In addition to housing benefits, Panchayats and urban local bodies received ₹2,697 crore as development grants. This included ₹1,044.57 crore for Panchayats from stamp duty and electricity cess, ₹169 crore for water channel constructions in 322 villages, and ₹1,483.77 crore for urban development projects.
One Year of Accelerated Development:
Chief Minister Saini highlighted that Haryana has achieved threefold development speed under the government’s clear policies and commitment. In the past year, 46 out of 217 election pledges have been fulfilled, with work in progress on 158 others. Over the year, 2,716 projects worth ₹25,515 crore were inaugurated or laid, including 2,159 projects (₹4,685 crore) inaugurated and 557 projects (₹20,830 crore) laid for future development.
Housing Milestones:
Cumulatively, the rural housing scheme has now allocated 12,031 plots, and the urban housing scheme has allotted 15,765 plots. In the past year alone, 77,199 families benefited from various housing schemes, including 49,403 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and 27,796 under the Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme.
Chief Minister Saini expressed gratitude to the people for granting the government a third consecutive term and credited the achievements to the “triple engine” of governance central leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state government’s development focus. He emphasized that Haryana is moving rapidly towards becoming a strong, prosperous, educated, and healthy state.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials including Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Sumita Mishra, DG Police Shri O.P. Singh, Housing for All Commissioner Shri Mohammad Shine, and other dignitaries overseeing state administration and welfare programs.
