Chandigarh, July 18, 2025 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said that the state government is fully prepared to conduct the Common Eligibility Test (CET) scheduled for July 26 and 27. Addressing the media, he announced that 13.87 lakh youth have applied for CET Group-C exams across the state, and all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exam have been completed.
To ensure hassle-free transportation for candidates, the government has arranged 9,200 buses to ferry students to and from their exam centres. “Registrations are underway to avail the transport facility,” the Chief Minister said. In addition to Haryana Roadways buses, private school buses are also being deployed to assist in the transportation. “We requested private schools to cooperate, especially to ensure that daughters and women candidates face no difficulty,” he added.
The Chief Minister also informed that one family member accompanying a female candidate during the examination will be allowed to travel for free on the bus service.
Responding to a question regarding Robert Vadra, CM Saini said that cases against him have been ongoing for a long time and the investigations are active. “Congress indulged in rampant corruption for years, and those wrongdoings are finally coming to light. The party weakened the poor while a few individuals amassed immense wealth. Robert Vadra is one such example,” he remarked.
Commenting on the Punjab government, CM Saini alleged that there are other forces operating behind Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. “Many decisions are being taken without his knowledge,” he claimed.
On another note, the Chief Minister appreciated the United States for designating the Pakistan-backed group ‘The Resistance Front’ as a Foreign Terrorist Organization and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist entity. “This group had claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack. Such organizations spread fear and panic. Other nations must also take similar steps,” he said.
