Haryana Government Extends Support to Disaster-Hit Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir with ₹5 Crore Aid Each

Chandigarh, September 2 – The Haryana government has extended a helping hand to the people of Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir, who are reeling under the impact of heavy rains and natural calamities. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced financial assistance of ₹5 crore each to both states from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The aid aims to provide immediate relief to affected families and strengthen ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

In letters addressed to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Saini expressed Haryana’s solidarity with the people of both states. He said that during this crisis, Haryana considers it its duty, as a neighbor and friend, to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them.

Saini further assured that Haryana is fully prepared to extend every possible support to ensure quick and sufficient relief reaches the disaster-hit regions. He also urged the two Chief Ministers to inform Haryana without hesitation if additional relief materials or assistance are required, promising immediate help.

Highlighting the government’s commitment, Saini stated that restoring hope and relief to the affected families remains the top priority. He emphasized that no family should feel abandoned in this time of distress, and Haryana will continue to contribute to the collective humanitarian effort.

It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had earlier written to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, expressing Haryana’s willingness to provide support in the spirit of humanity and brotherhood during this natural disaster.
