Haryana Government Announces Tax-Free Status for Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ at Chandigarh Screening

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut expressed gratitude to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini after he announced that her latest film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, would be granted tax-free status in the state. The announcement was made during a special screening held in Chandigarh as part of the film’s nationwide outreach campaign.

The event focused on honouring individuals working in essential public services whose contributions often remain behind the scenes. Healthcare workers, hospital support staff, sanitation personnel and security employees were recognised for their dedication and presented with the Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata badge as a symbol of appreciation.

Addressing the gathering, Kangana said the film carries a message that resonates strongly with doctors, nurses and frontline workers, adding that their presence at the screening made the occasion particularly meaningful. She thanked the Haryana government for supporting the film and acknowledging the spirit behind its narrative.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini praised the movie for highlighting responsibility and public service, stating that films carrying such social messages deserve wider reach. He announced that the state government would exempt the film from entertainment tax, saying it encourages audiences to reflect on the role individuals play in nation-building.

The Chandigarh programme witnessed the presence of several senior political leaders and government officials, including cabinet ministers, legislators, administrators and public representatives. The event also served as a platform to felicitate healthcare professionals and support staff for their service to society.

The campaign associated with Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata has travelled across multiple cities, recognising unsung heroes from different sectors and bringing attention to their everyday contributions. The initiative aims to celebrate people who continue to serve the nation with commitment despite receiving little public recognition.

Backed by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films and Paramhans Creations along with other production partners, the film has been drawing positive responses from audiences while expanding its outreach through community engagement events across the country.
