Haryana gangster Rao Inderjeet Yadav arrested in Dubai, extradition process underway

Balwinder Singh :- Rao Inderjeet Yadav, a Haryana-based gangster who had been absconding since 2024, has been arrested in Dubai, according to official sources. He had fled India following his alleged involvement in a high-profile murder case and had remained on the run since then.

Authorities in Dubai have reportedly sought necessary documentation from Indian agencies, indicating that the process to bring him back to India may begin soon. Officials suggest that legal formalities for his extradition are currently in progress.

Yadav, a native of Rohtak, is facing multiple criminal charges across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Police records indicate that more than 15 cases have been registered against him, including allegations of extortion, fraud, illegal land dealings, coercion and armed intimidation.

The Enforcement Directorate, which is investigating him in connection with a money laundering case, had earlier conducted raids at multiple locations in Delhi and Gurugram. During these operations, officials recovered luxury vehicles, cash, bank-related assets, digital devices and documents believed to be linked to his alleged financial network.

Apart from his criminal background, Yadav was also associated with the entertainment industry through a music company involved in producing regional content in Haryanvi, Punjabi and Hindi. He maintained a high-profile lifestyle and had a significant following on social media, often seen in photographs with well-known personalities.

His name has also surfaced in connection with several violent incidents, including the murder of a financier in 2024, along with other cases involving firing and intimidation. Despite these allegations, Yadav has claimed in recent statements that he is innocent and has described the charges against him as part of a conspiracy.

Meanwhile, investigative agencies continue to pursue legal action as efforts intensify to secure his return to India.
