Chandigarh, March 3, 2025 – Haryana’s Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Shyam Singh Rana, has urged farmers who are not registered under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) to report their crop damage due to hailstorms on the Haryana Compensation Portal within the next 72 hours. This will enable agricultural officers to assess the damage on-site and ensure fair compensation.
Assurance of Compensation
Minister Rana assured farmers that they need not worry, as the government is committed to compensating their losses. The state has provided two reporting mechanisms for farmers to register their crop damage:
1. PMFBY-Registered Farmers – Those already enrolled in the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana should contact their nearest agricultural officer to report losses.
2. Non-Registered Farmers – Those not covered under PMFBY must report their crop damage within three days on the Haryana Compensation Portal.
Mandatory Registration on ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ Portal
To access compensation, farmers must be registered on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal. Minister Rana emphasized that both portals are currently active, and affected farmers should submit their damage reports within the deadline to receive benefits.
