Chandigarh, September 22 — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that both the central and state governments are working on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” following the inclusive path shown by Maharaja Agrasen. He was addressing the Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti celebration in Panchkula as the chief guest under the state’s “Sant Mahapurush Samman evam Vichar-Prasar Yojana.”
Extending greetings for Sharadiya Navratras, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Maharaja Agrasen and praised the historical contributions of the Agrawal community. He highlighted that members of the community have played significant roles in trade, industry, and social service across various fields.
Saini said that Haryana has created a favorable environment for industry and trade, making it a preferred destination for investors in India and abroad. To address traders’ concerns, the government has established the Haryana Vyapari Kalyan Board. He also recalled that Hisar Airport has been named after Maharaja Agrasen to honor his ideals.
The Chief Minister noted that GST reforms being implemented nationwide from the start of Navratras have generated special enthusiasm among the business community, with Agrawal Samaj planning to send a letter of thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further explained that the state has introduced online facilities for e-refunds, e-registration, e-tax payments, e-filing of returns, and issuance of C-forms.
Saini outlined multiple initiatives for the welfare of traders, including ownership rights under the Mukhyamantri Shehri Swamitva Yojana, inter-state transport convenience through the E-way Bill scheme, and pension benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Maan Dhan Yojana. He also emphasized the government’s efforts to support MSMEs, startups, and ease of doing business through GST facilitation cells in Gurugram and Panchkula.
Calling upon the Agrawal community to continue contributing to the state’s progress, the Chief Minister said their values and traditions remain vital for Haryana’s development. On this occasion, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goel also praised the government’s commitment to following the principles of Maharaja Agrasen and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s “Antyodaya” vision.
Several dignitaries, including MLAs Savitri Jindal and Ghanshyam Sarraf, former Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta, former minister Aseem Goel, and prominent members of the Agrawal community were present at the event.
