Gurugram (National Tuimess): In a major boost to educational access, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that beginning with the 2025–26 academic session, all Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Class (OBC) students enrolled in medical and engineering courses at any government college in India will be eligible for full scholarships.
A dedicated online portal will also be launched to streamline the application and distribution process.
CM Saini made the announcement while addressing the National Awakening Maha Sammelan, hosted by the All India Saini Seva Samaj in Gurugram, marking the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
The event was also attended by prominent leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, former Maharashtra Deputy CM Chhagan Bhujbal, MP Upendra Kushwaha, and Smt. Kalpana Saini.
