Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Travels to Delhi by Shatabdi; PM Modi to Inaugurate Development Projects in Sonipat on October 17

Chandigarh, October 5: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini departed for Delhi from Chandigarh on Saturday aboard the Shatabdi Express. During his journey, he interacted with the media, discussing his upcoming Japan visit and highlighting the state government’s achievements over the past year.

The Chief Minister announced that October 17 will mark one year of the current Haryana government’s tenure. To celebrate the occasion, a grand event will be held in Sonipat, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest and will inaugurate several development projects for the state.

Sharing details of his upcoming foreign visit, Saini said he will be in Japan from October 6 to 8 for a three-day tour. Haryana will have a dedicated pavilion there, showcasing investment opportunities in the state. He is also scheduled to meet Japanese investors and interact with the Indian diaspora from Haryana. Saini emphasized that the visit aims to attract new investments and open avenues for industrial growth under Haryana’s industrial policy.

Highlighting the government’s performance, the Chief Minister said that out of the promises made in the government’s Sankalp Patra (manifesto), 42 have already been fulfilled and work on 90 others is underway. He claimed that under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, Haryana’s development has accelerated threefold in the past year.

Saini said nearly 1.9 million women in the state are receiving LPG cylinders at just ₹500, and 25,000 youths have been provided with employment so far during the government’s third term. He further added that people who had been occupying panchayat land for over 20 years are now being granted ownership rights.

In the education sector, Saini stated that Scheduled Caste girl students scoring above 90% marks are being honored with financial assistance of ₹1.11 lakh. The government is also establishing Sanskriti Model Schools, aligned with the CBSE curriculum, every 10 kilometers to ensure quality education in rural areas.

Responding to questions about the opposition, the Chief Minister accused rival parties of spreading misinformation about the Minimum Support Price (MSP), asserting that the central government has consistently worked for the welfare of farmers. “The opposition’s allegations have collapsed. Congress has lost its ground, while under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, both the nation and the state are progressing steadily,” he said.

Taking a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Saini remarked that appointing Bhupinder Singh Hooda as the Leader of Opposition after a year reflects the Congress’s internal disorganization.

On the CLU-CD issue, he commented that such incidents were common during Congress rule. Responding to former MP Brijendra Singh’s goodwill yatra, Saini said the BJP has always promoted unity. “The party made Chaudhary Birender Singh a minister, his son a Member of Parliament, and his wife an MLA. Such respect was never given to them by the Congress,” he added.
