Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Prioritizes Public Grievances in Sirsa, Directs Officials to Ensure Swift Resolution

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has reiterated his firm commitment to the swift resolution of public grievances, directing administrative officials to address complaints on a high-priority basis. Chairing a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee at the Panchayat Bhawan in Sirsa, the Chief Minister went beyond routine administrative protocols by personally telephoning absent complainants from the venue to gather first-hand details and deliver immediate decisions. His hands-on approach and sensitivity toward public issues have become a major talking point across the region.

During the review, two specific cases emerged where the original complainants could not be physically present. Chief Minister Saini immediately contacted them via telephone to assess the ground reality. The first case involved Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Fatehpur Jatanwali, who had lodged a complaint regarding the faulty construction of a siphon on a local water channel. After discussing the matter directly with him, the Chief Minister ordered the immediate formation of a three-member inquiry committee headed by the local SDM to ensure an impartial investigation and a time-bound solution. The second case pertained to Nirmal Kaur, whose husband, a pharmacist in the Ayush Department, had passed away in February 2026; her family had alleged delays in receiving due financial benefits. During the phone call, both Nirmal Kaur and her father expressed complete satisfaction with the recent expedited actions taken by the department and personally thanked the Chief Minister for his intervention.

A total of 15 grievances were placed on the agenda during the high-level meeting, out of which the Chief Minister successfully resolved 12 cases on the spot, while keeping three complex matters pending for further investigation. Placing a strong emphasis on urban and rural infrastructure, Saini issued strict instructions to prioritize the repair and maintenance of sewerage lines and roads. He explicitly directed that in urban blocks where sewerage pipe-laying work has been completed, road reconstruction must begin immediately to prevent any unnecessary inconvenience to the general public.

In other notable cases, the Chief Minister deferred a complaint regarding a fraudulent will filed by Paramjeet Singh of Ganga village to the next meeting, as the thumbprints on the document were too blurry for forensic cross-verification. Responding to a grievance by Balveer Ram of Rania, the Chief Minister assured that any fresh evidence regarding the death of his brother, Jagsir Singh, would be promptly integrated into the ongoing police investigation. Furthermore, following an unsatisfactory response from the Haryana Urban Development Authority and Municipal Council officials regarding incorrect parking and pavement measurements in Sirsa Industrial Area-1—a complaint filed by Hardik Goyal—the Chief Minister ordered a strict inquiry against the erring personnel and directed that work on the sanctioned tender be initiated immediately. A complaint by Ruldu Ram of Rodi village also led to direct orders for street construction alongside an official probe against a Junior Engineer accused of seeking bribes.

The review meeting was attended by former Governor Prof. Ganesh Lal, Ellenabad MLA Bharat Singh Beniwal, Sirsa MLA Gokul Setia, Kalanwali MLA Shishpal Keharwala, District Board Chairman Karan Chautala, Deputy Commissioner Shantanu Sharma, Sirsa Superintendent of Police Deepak Saharan, Dabwali Superintendent of Police Jasleen Kaur, and several other senior administrative officials and prominent public representatives.
