Chandigarh, March 3 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini led a pre-budget consultation meeting to gather suggestions from ministers, MLAs, and administrative secretaries for an inclusive budget for FY 2025-26. The two-day session began today at Red Bishop, Panchkula.
Extensive Consultations for a Holistic Budget
The Haryana government has been conducting pre-budget discussions for the past six years. This year, various sector-wise meetings were held with industry associations, chartered accountants, agricultural experts, startups, youth, women entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and the textile industry. For the first time, suggestions were also invited online, with over 10,000 responses received.
Key Inputs from Leaders and Stakeholders
During the first session on March 3, both ruling and opposition MLAs shared their recommendations. CM Saini, who also holds the Finance Ministry portfolio, assured that key suggestions will be incorporated to make citizens’ lives easier and accelerate Haryana’s development. He emphasized that the budget will not only address immediate needs but also focus on long-term growth.
Haryana’s Budget to Drive Continuous Development
CM Saini stated that this will be the first budget of Haryana’s third term under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He reaffirmed that the budget will prioritize the welfare of 2.80 crore people and ensure sustained economic progress.
The consultation will continue on March 4, featuring two more sessions. After consolidating inputs from MLAs and ministers, the most impactful recommendations will be integrated into the final budget.

The meeting was attended by Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishna Kumar Middha, cabinet ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Chief Principal Secretary to the CM Rajesh Khullar, and other senior officials.
Upcoming Schedule
On March 4, the second day of the consultation, discussions will continue from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with legislators presenting their budget proposals. The government aims to include the most relevant recommendations in the upcoming state budget.
