New Delhi (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has extended an open invitation to filmmakers and production houses across the country to shoot their projects in the state, assuring comprehensive administrative assistance alongside attractive financial incentives. Speaking as the chief guest at Film Expo India held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday, the Chief Minister highlighted that Haryana is committed to creating a vibrant, film-friendly ecosystem, supported by up to Rs. 2 crore in financial subsidies under the state’s Film and Entertainment Policy-2022.
Addressing a gathering of film producers, directors, artists, and technical professionals, Saini remarked that regional cinema has emerged as a major driving force in Indian entertainment. He emphasized that compelling narratives now effortlessly transcend regional and linguistic barriers to resonate with domestic and international audiences alike. The Chief Minister observed that cinema serves as a powerful mirror of society and a formative influence on the aspirations of younger generations, tracing its evolving trajectory from Dadasaheb Phalke’s historic Raja Harishchandra in 1913 to today’s digitally advanced era.
The Chief Minister stressed the necessity of leveraging modern digital tools to project India’s rich heritage globally, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to “Create in India, Create for the World”. Saini urged creators to integrate emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, visual effects (VFX), animation, gaming, virtual production, extended reality, and streaming platforms—while remaining deeply anchored in genuine human emotions and cultural traditions. He noted that technicians and digital artists working behind the screen are as indispensable to cinematic storytelling today as the actors performing in front of the lens.
During the event, several veteran film personalities, including Mukesh Rishi, Preeti Sapru, Vindu Dara Singh, and Puneet Issar, were in attendance. Rishi commended the Haryana government’s developmental initiatives and supportive industry policies, while Sapru outlined the ongoing efforts of the Cine Artist Welfare Trust. The Chief Minister also felicitated various artists and extended greetings to attendees on the occasion of National Sports Day.
