Haryana CM Inspires Youth at Hisar Air Show, Hails IAF’s Valor and Discipline

Hisar, September 21 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday urged the youth to pursue their dreams with dedication, discipline, and hard work, stating that today’s young generation will be the pride of the Indian Armed Forces and bring glory to the nation.

Addressing the audience at the Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, during an air show organized jointly by the GOC Dot Division and Hisar district administration, CM Saini highlighted the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) key role in safeguarding the nation. The prestigious Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team of the IAF performed a series of breathtaking maneuvers, demonstrating skill, precision, and teamwork.

“The Air Show sends a powerful message of discipline, teamwork, and unwavering patriotism,” the Chief Minister said. “Each performance by the Surya Kiran team reflects their motto ‘Sadaiv Sarvottam’—always strive for excellence.” He praised the presence of a large audience, noting it reflects the deep respect citizens hold for the Indian Armed Forces.

CM Saini lauded the government’s measures to honor the families of martyrs and freedom fighters. The pension for freedom fighters and their widows has been increased to ₹40,000 per month, and the ex-gratia for martyrs’ families has been raised to ₹1 crore. Additionally, a 10% reservation has been extended to “Agni Veers” in Haryana.

He also emphasized the modernization of the IAF under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting acquisitions like the Rafale fighter jets, which enhance the nation’s aerial strength. “Our pilots are capable of countering adversaries with Rafale, Sukhoi, and Tejas fighter aircraft. Their valor was globally recognized during Operation Sandur,” he said.

Anish Yadav, Hisar Deputy Commissioner, noted that this was the first air show of its kind in Haryana, aimed at inspiring youth to dream of joining the Air Force. Surya Kiran pilots flew at speeds ranging from 150 km/h to 650 km/h, performing complex aerobatic formations, and paid tribute to martyr Wing Commander Sahil Gandhi. Participants included soldiers, officers, and families from nearby districts and army cantonments, along with students from Army Public Schools and NCC cadets.
