Haryana CM Defends Education Reforms, Rejects Opposition’s Claims

Chandigarh, March 13, 2025 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to improving education quality and expanding opportunities for students. He addressed concerns raised by the opposition during the discussion on the Governor’s address in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

Saini highlighted that regular teachers, guest teachers, and those deployed through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam are actively teaching in government primary and secondary schools across the state. According to the MIS portal, there are 7,986 sanctioned posts in government colleges, with 5,422 already filled.

The recruitment process for 2,424 Group-B Assistant Professor posts in various subjects is underway through the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC), Saini confirmed.

Rejecting the opposition’s claim that 294 schools in Haryana have no students, Saini clarified that only 28 schools currently have no enrolled students. He assured that teachers from these schools have been reassigned to other institutions.

To strengthen education in Nuh district, Saini noted that a Mewat cadre was established on April 30, 2012. The government has already sent a requisition for 1,456 PRT posts to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) on August 9, 2024.

He added that a request to fill 360 PGT posts was sent to the HPSC in July 2024. Recommendations for 59 posts have been received, and appointments will begin soon. The remaining posts will be filled shortly, Saini assured.
