Haryana Assembly Session to Begin on August 22, Announces CM Nayab Singh Saini After Cabinet Meeting

Chandigarh, August 1 – The next session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly will commence on August 22, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced following a cabinet meeting held under his chairmanship. The duration of the session will be finalized by the Business Advisory Committee.

Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, CM Saini outlined key decisions taken by the state cabinet and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to empowering the poor through inclusive governance.

Focus on Poor-Centric Policies

Saini stated that for the past 11 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both the central and Haryana governments have been focused on designing schemes that prioritize the underprivileged. “Our aim is to strengthen and empower the poor, unlike the Congress governments which have historically made policies only for the elite,” he said.

Tough Stand on Law and Order

Reiterating the government’s zero-tolerance approach to crime, the Chief Minister said police officials have been directed to take swift, on-the-spot action against criminals to maintain law and order.

Criticism of the Opposition

Taking a dig at the Congress party, Saini accused the opposition of spreading misinformation. “They never talk about the Congress-ruled states like Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, or Telangana. Their criticism is selectively aimed at Haryana,” he remarked.

Promises Versus Performance

Highlighting the difference between political promises and actual work, CM Saini said, “Congress manifestos are mere electoral gimmicks, whereas the BJP is delivering on the ground at three times the speed without any bias or favoritism.”

Lado Lakshmi Scheme Portal Soon

The Chief Minister revealed that preparations are underway for the implementation of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, aimed at supporting girl children. A dedicated portal for the scheme will be launched soon.

Historic Decisions for Farmers

Saini also mentioned the Centre’s continued support for farmers. On August 2, the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) will be disbursed, directly crediting funds into the accounts of millions of farmers.

The press conference was attended by Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department K.M. Pandurang, and Media Secretary Praveen Atre among other senior officials.
