Haryana Announces Subsidy for Barley and Wheat Demonstration Plots, Seed Distribution and Soil Conservation

Chandigarh, November 19 — The Haryana government has launched a subsidy initiative under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission (Coarse Grains) to support farmers in seven districts with barley demonstration plots, seed distribution, and plant and soil conservation management. Farmers in Panchkula, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Hisar, Jhajjar and Charkhi Dadri can apply for the subsidy online.

Interested farmers can visit the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department’s official website and complete the application process. A department spokesperson said farmers may submit applications according to their crop sowing and harvesting schedule. For further details, farmers can contact the Agriculture Development Officer, Block Agriculture Officer, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer or the Deputy Director of Agriculture in their area.

The spokesperson further said that under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission (Wheat), farmers in eight districts — Ambala, Bhiwani, Hisar, Jhajjar, Mewat, Palwal, Charkhi Dadri and Rohtak — will also receive subsidies for wheat demonstration plots, seed distribution and soil and plant conservation activities. Interested farmers can apply online through the same departmental website and will be required to follow application timelines based on their crop cycle. Farmers have been advised to approach their district agriculture offices for detailed guidance.
