Chandigarh, April 18, 2025: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has vowed to transform the state into a manufacturing hub in line with the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. Speaking at a post-budget meeting with industry leaders in Gurugram, Saini emphasized the state’s commitment to business-friendly reforms, labour welfare, and industrial expansion.
In a major budgetary boost, the Department of Industry and Commerce has received an allocation of over ₹1,848 crore—marking a 129% increase from the previous year. The Chief Minister credited the state’s growth to consistent support for industrial institutions and strategic location near the National Capital Region, providing access to major markets and superior logistics.
Addressing representatives from construction, textile, and startup sectors, Saini said their suggestions had been incorporated into the state budget. He announced that 300 Atal Kisan Shramik Canteens would be set up in industrial zones to provide affordable, nutritious food to workers.
Saini reiterated Haryana’s alignment with national campaigns like ‘Make in India’, ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, and the state’s own ‘Make in Haryana’ initiative. He highlighted Haryana’s fifth rank in GST collection as proof of industrial strength and shared plans to expand infrastructure through 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) like the one in Kharkhoda. These smart parks will be developed with the help of HSIIDC via the e-Bhoomi portal and land pooling schemes.
To support entrepreneurs, incubation centres will be established in every industrial estate. These will help young innovators with infrastructure, mentoring, and funding access.
The CM also spoke about the simplified Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy-2020 and the Single Window Clearance System, which offers over 150 services from 40+ departments online—approvals are promised within 15 days, or up to 30 days if documentation needs correction.
Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh added that tenders for roads, sewerage, and cleanliness had been floated in all industrial zones. He assured completion of this infrastructure upgrade within six months. He also sought industry cooperation in environmental protection, urging them to reduce polythene usage and adopt eco-friendly alternatives.
The meeting was attended by local MLAs and senior administrative officials, signaling strong political and bureaucratic backing for Haryana’s industrial mission.
