Bollywood veteran Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are rumored to be on the brink of divorce after 37 years of marriage. Reports suggest that the couple has been living separately for a while, though neither has officially commented on the speculation.
According to Zoom TV, their relationship has been strained due to lifestyle differences and personal space issues. Additionally, Bollywood Now has reported that Govinda’s alleged involvement with a Marathi actress may have contributed to their growing distance.
In an interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita Ahuja confirmed that they have separate living arrangements. She revealed that while she resides in their apartment with their children, Govinda prefers staying at their bungalow due to his late-night meetings and social gatherings.
“We have two houses—our flat and a bungalow opposite it. I live in the flat with my son and daughter, while Govinda enjoys staying at the bungalow because he loves late-night chats and meetings. He gathers people and spends time with them,” Sunita shared.
On Govinda’s romantic side, Sunita humorously remarked, “I have told him that in my next life, he should not be my husband. He never takes vacations. I love going out and eating street food like pani-puri, but he is always busy with work. I don’t recall a single instance when we went to watch a movie together.”
Govinda and Sunita got married in March 1987 but kept their relationship a secret until the birth of their daughter, Tina, in 1988. Later, they welcomed their son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.
As speculation around their marital discord grows, fans are waiting for an official statement from the couple.
