Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh Meets Students from Kathua at Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh, September 29, 2025: Haryana Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh on Monday interacted with 25 students from the Gujjar-Bakarwal community of Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir, during their visit to Raj Bhavan. The Governor was accompanied by his wife, Smt. Mitra Ghosh.

The students, comprising 12 girls and 13 boys, are part of the ‘Rising Star Corps’ goodwill journey 2025-26 organized by the Indian Army as a national integration tour. The delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Amrik Singh.

During the interaction, the Governor encouraged the students to study diligently and actively contribute to the progress of Jammu & Kashmir and the nation as a whole. He emphasized that every citizen of the country stands with them and that they will have ample opportunities to build a better future.

The event, conducted under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’, provided the students an insightful opportunity to connect deeply with India’s democracy, cultural heritage, and national unity.

The program was attended by the Governor’s Secretary Shri Dushmant Kumar Behera, ADC Shri Mohan Krishna P, Lieutenant Priyanka Sevda, Smt. Santosh Sharma, Shri Rajeev, teaching staff, officers of Raj Bhavan, and other personnel of the Indian Army.
