National Times Bureau :- Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria visited the markets of Udaipur on the occasion of Diwali and interacted with local residents. Impressed by the festive ambience, he praised the people for beautifully decorating the city and said the effort reflects the cultural warmth of Udaipur as well as its welcoming spirit for tourists. He also conveyed his Diwali greetings to the citizens.
This year, the city’s celebrations included thematic decorations based on significant religious and cultural symbols, among which a depiction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple of Ayodhya became a major attraction for visitors.
In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav offered prayers at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain and inaugurated a special Light and Sound Show on the banks of Rudra Sagar. The show narrates stories from the Shiva Purana and showcases the historic and spiritual legacy of Avantika. He extended festival greetings and said that such initiatives help people reconnect with their cultural heritage.
Meanwhile in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma marked the festival by lighting lamps at his residence and performing Lakshmi Puja along with his family. Later, he visited the Rajarajeshwari Temple to seek blessings for peace and prosperity.
Across the country, Diwali is being celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm, as people continue to share joy, prayers and festive spirit with their communities.
