Amritsar, June 5, 2025 — Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has postponed all semester examinations scheduled for June 6, 2025, in observance of Ghallughara Diwas, the solemn remembrance of the 1984 Operation Blue Star.
The university has officially announced that these exams will now be conducted on June 20, 2025.
Observed annually across Punjab and Sikh communities worldwide, Ghallughara Diwas commemorates the tragic military operation at the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar. GNDU’s decision ensures students and staff can pay their respects without academic obligations.
