Commencing his career with a modest salary of ₹65 per month, Chandramogan made the bold decision at the age of 21 to relinquish his job and establish his own ice cream business, initiating operations with an initial investment of ₹13,000. Operating from a compact 250 sq. ft. space with a mere three employees, he pioneered the sale of ice cream through pushcarts, generating an impressive ₹1.5 lakh in his inaugural year, thereby fueling his entrepreneurial aspirations.

In 1986, Chandramogan founded Hatsun Agro Products Ltd., revolutionizing the dairy industry by eliminating intermediaries and sourcing milk directly from farmers. Furthermore, the company introduced the concept of factory-style outlets, ensuring unparalleled freshness and quality. Presently, Hatsun Agro boasts an expansive infrastructure spanning over 3 million sq. ft., employs a workforce of more than 8,000 individuals, and proudly owns esteemed brands such as Arokya Milk, Gomatha, Arun Icecreams, and Ibaco, with exports reaching an impressive 42 countries.

Now 74 years old, R.G. Chandramogan’s remarkable success story, from modest origins to a net worth exceeding ₹13,000 crore, serves as a testament to his unwavering dedication, vision, and perseverance.
