Fresh Allegations Surface in Twisha Sharma Death Case as Family Dispute Intensifies

Noida (Rajeev Sharma): The mystery surrounding the death of former beauty queen and actor Twisha Sharma continues to deepen, with fresh claims and counterclaims emerging from both families as investigators probe the circumstances of her death in Bhopal.

Twisha, 33, was found dead at her residence in the Katara Hills locality on May 12. Her death is being examined under allegations of dowry harassment after her father accused her husband Samarth and mother-in-law Giribala Singh of subjecting her to sustained mental pressure.

In a recent media interaction, Giribala Singh rejected the allegations and instead presented a different account of Twisha’s final months, claiming the young woman had been battling emotional instability and was under psychiatric supervision.

Singh alleged that medical consultations and prescribed treatment had been arranged for Twisha, adding that her condition would reportedly fluctuate despite ongoing care.

She also claimed Twisha had once admitted to using marijuana during pregnancy and suggested withdrawal symptoms had affected her health.

Another startling claim made by Singh concerned an alleged medical termination of pregnancy, which she said was carried out with family support after Twisha had initially expressed uncertainty about the decision.

The retired judge further accused Twisha’s parents of remaining absent during the last phase of her life and questioned their role in her professional journey, alleging they had pushed her into the glamour industry at a young age.

However, Twisha’s father Navnidhi Sharma has strongly denied these allegations and maintained that his daughter faced emotional harassment within her marital home.

He claimed financial expectations were repeatedly imposed through indirect remarks and pressure tactics, which worsened after Twisha lost her job.

According to him, his daughter had confided in the family about repeated taunts regarding money and her ability to contribute financially.

Navnidhi also raised concerns over what he described as a pattern of troubling behaviour in the household, alleging earlier marital disputes involving the family had also surfaced in the past.

Twisha Sharma had built a successful career as a model and actor after winning the Miss Pune title.

Originally from Noida and academically trained with an MBA degree, she later explored acting opportunities in Telugu cinema and digital content platforms, earning recognition for her confidence and creative talent.

Police officials are currently reviewing evidence, digital records and statements from both sides as part of the ongoing inquiry.

No final findings have been announced so far, and authorities say all angles are being examined before further legal action is taken.
