Gurpreet Singh :- In an effort to help young aspirants prepare for recruitment in the Punjab Police, the state government has announced a free training camp that will begin on March 16, 2026, at the C-PYTE camp in Patti, Tarn Taran. The initiative aims to provide structured guidance and preparation to candidates appearing for the police recruitment written examination as well as the physical efficiency tests.
According to officials at the training centre, the camp will primarily benefit youth from Tarn Taran district by offering them the necessary coaching and physical training required to qualify for the recruitment process. The programme has been designed to strengthen candidates’ physical fitness and improve their performance in the written examination so that more local youth can successfully join the police force.
Online registration for the camp began on March 10, and interested candidates have been urged to complete the registration process at the earliest and report to the C-PYTE camp in Patti to take advantage of the facilities provided by the state government. During the training period, participants will be provided free accommodation and meals, and no fee will be charged for the preparation of either the written examination or the physical tests.
Candidates arriving at the camp will be required to bring several documents, including a copy of the online application, the original Class 10 certificate, photocopies of their Class 12 and other educational certificates, a copy of the Punjab domicile certificate, caste certificate if applicable, Aadhaar card, and a copy of their bank account details with an active account. They must also carry two passport-size photographs, a copy of the application form, a pen, personal utensils and bedding.
