National Times Bureau :- A major accident on National Highway-44 in Haryana’s Karnal district claimed four lives on Wednesday. The incident occurred near Gharaunda when a truck, reportedly driving on the wrong side of the highway, rammed into a Haryana Roadways bus, crushed a motorcycle, and later collided with a car before overturning in the middle of the road.
Eyewitnesses said the speeding truck driver’s negligence triggered the chain collision, leaving the bike and car riders dead on the spot. Police and emergency teams reached the scene immediately, sending the bodies for post-mortem and shifting the injured to a nearby hospital. Authorities have cleared the damaged vehicles and initiated a detailed probe into the incident.
