Ferozepur, May 27, 2025 – In a robust move to ensure smoother and more secure travel for legitimate passengers, the Firozpur Division of Northern Railway conducted a large-scale ticket checking campaign on May 26, 2025, collecting over ₹6 lakh in fines from 985 offenders.
The operation was led by Divisional Railway Manager Sanjay Sahu and closely supervised by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Parmdeep Singh Saini. Officials focused on cracking down on ticketless travel, irregular journeys, and unbooked luggage, reinforcing the division’s commitment to better rail services.
Northern Railway reiterated its appeal to all passengers to travel with valid tickets, warning that such inspection drives will continue throughout the division to discourage fare evasion and uphold service integrity.
