FAKE NEWS ALERT: Rajvir Jawanda is Alive

Chandigarh (National Times): Contrary to viral claims circulating on social media, Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda is alive and under medical treatment at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Hospital authorities, family members, and fellow artists have dismissed rumors of his death as completely false.

The misleading reports began surfacing online late Saturday afternoon, falsely claiming the singer had succumbed to injuries sustained in a recent road accident in Himachal Pradesh.

Artists Urge Public to Stop Spreading Lies

Punjabi music industry colleagues, including Kanwar Grewal and Kulwinder Billa, have also taken to social media to slam the spread of misinformation.

“Please don’t share anything unless it’s confirmed by the family or doctors. Rajvir is still fighting, and we all need to pray for him,” said Kulwinder Billa in an Instagram story.

Kanwar Grewal echoed the sentiment, writing:

“Fake news about someone’s death is not only irresponsible, it’s cruel. Let the doctors do their work. Let us focus on hope.”

The Incident: What Happened

Jawanda was seriously injured in a bike accident in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, where he was riding with friends. Reports say an attempt to avoid two bulls fighting on the road led to the crash. The singer reportedly suffered severe head and spinal injuries, and a cardiac arrest before being rushed to Mohali.

Since then, fans across the globe have been anxiously waiting for updates on his condition.

Authorities Warn Against Misinformation

A senior officer from Punjab Police confirmed that no official confirmation of death has been issued and warned that legal action could be taken against those spreading falsehoods online.

“Spreading fake news in sensitive situations is punishable under law. We are tracking several accounts that circulated the false death report,” the official said.

A Time for Support, Not Sensationalism

As the singer continues his fight in intensive care, the message from his inner circle remains clear: This is a time for unity, patience, and prayer — not panic or fake headlines.
