Double Engine Government Walking on Path Shown by Gurus: Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, August 28 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that both the Centre and the state’s double-engine government are imbibing the teachings of the Gurus and following the path shown by them.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while interacting with the media after offering prayers at Gurdwara Nada Sahib in Panchkula.

Responding to a question, Saini said that Sikh families in Haryana who lost their breadwinners during the 1984 riots will be provided suitable government jobs for one of their family members. Families seeking jobs can apply through their respective district deputy commissioners, he added.

He recalled that a large number of Sikh families were attacked during the riots, suffering heavy loss of life and property. The then government had suppressed the case files, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi ensured that they were reopened and that the guilty were brought behind bars.

Commenting on the recently concluded Assembly session, Saini said that the opposition was given appropriate replies to every issue it raised. On allegations of vote theft made by the opposition, he countered that the truth is the opposition has no real issues to raise. He criticized the Congress for decades of rule in Haryana, during which corruption, scams, and mismanagement prevailed, causing great harm to the people of the state.

The Chief Minister lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that under the “One India, Great India” campaign, uniform development is taking place across the country from north to south and east to west. He noted that both the Centre and the state are celebrating the birth anniversaries of Sikh Gurus with grandeur. He highlighted that in 2019, PM Modi fulfilled the long-pending wish of the Sikh community by dedicating the historic Kartarpur Corridor on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, enabling Sikh devotees to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan.

Saini also shared that during the Monsoon Session of the Assembly, a unanimous resolution was passed to celebrate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in a grand and divine manner, with several programs to be organized in the coming days.
