District Magistrate Imposes 60-Day Ban on Carrying Weapons Ahead of Festivals

National Times Bureau :- In a preventive measure aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety during the upcoming festival season, District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav has imposed a 60-day ban on carrying weapons. The order will be in effect from midnight of 23rd September until 21st November.

Under this directive, individuals are prohibited from carrying firearms, lethal weapons, sticks, spears, knives, or any iron-made arms in public places. Exceptions have been made for police, military, paramilitary forces, and other government officials, provided they are on duty, in uniform, and carrying authorized permits and ID cards.

Persons holding written permission from the District Magistrate or possessing valid licenses are also exempt from this prohibition. The administration has urged citizens to strictly adhere to the order to prevent any untoward incidents during the festive period.
