Devotees to Gather for 24-Hour Spiritual Celebration of AKHAND RAMAYAN PATH at ISKCON CALGARY

Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): ISKCON Calgary, under the auspices of the Radha Madhav Cultural Association (RMCA), will host a grand Akhand Ramayan Path, a continuous 24-hour recitation of the sacred epic Shri Ramayan, commencing on Saturday, October 18 at 3:30 PM and concluding on Sunday, October 19 at 4:30 PM. The event will take place at ISKCON temple located at 313 4th Street NE, Calgary, Alberta.

This spiritual gathering will provide devotees and community members with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the divine pastimes of Lord Shri Ram, as the entire Ramayan will be recited from Baal Kand (the childhood and divine acts of Shri Ram) to Uttar Kand (His coronation and reign). The recitation will encompass all seven Kands: Baal Kand: Childhood and divine pastimes of Shri Ram Ayodhya Kand: Life in Ayodhya and exile Aranya Kand: Journey through the forest Kishkindha Kand: Alliance with Sugriva and vanaras Sundar Kand: Glories of Hanuman Ji Lanka Kand: The great war with Ravana Uttar Kand: Coronation and Shri Ram’s reign.

While conversing with National Times, Krishandas Prabhu extended an invitation to all to participate in the continuous chanting and recitation, fostering devotion, peace, and unity within the Calgary Hindu community. He stated that Prasadam (holy food offering) will be served on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon for all attendees. The event, guided by the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, aims to promote spiritual values of devotion, love, and service through the timeless wisdom of the Ramayan.
