Delhi Police Expands Probe into CM Attack Case, Associate Held in Rajkot

New Delhi (National Times): The Delhi Police investigation into the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a wider turn with the detention of one of the accused, Rajesh’s friend in Rajkot. Officials said this individual had allegedly transferred money to Rajesh, raising suspicions of a broader support network.

Police teams stationed in Rajkot are also verifying information from the accused’s seized mobile phone. Data retrieved has led investigators to at least five people whose statements will be recorded today, while another suspect is expected to be brought to Delhi by evening.

So far, the police have identified ten individuals who remained in close contact with Rajesh through phone calls and online chats. These connections are being examined to establish whether they had any role in funding or encouraging the attack.

According to sources, one of those under the scanner is an auto-rickshaw driver, who allegedly made financial transfers to the accused. Authorities are now cross-checking Rajesh’s claims with the testimonies of his friends and relatives to piece together the chain of events.

The police emphasized that all possible angles are being pursued to ensure that anyone linked to the incident is brought under the ambit of law.
