The four-storey residential structure caved in unexpectedly, trapping several residents under the debris. Rescue operations led by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with Delhi Fire Services and police, helped retrieve 11 people alive. However, four of the initially rescued victims succumbed to their injuries later.

Out of the 11 injured, six have been discharged from hospitals, while five remain under medical care.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and announced an official probe. In a post on X, she conveyed her condolences and assured that strict action would be taken against those responsible. “May God grant peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss,” she stated.

The cause of the collapse remains under investigation, and the area has been cordoned off to facilitate further search operations and structural assessments.
