Dasmesh Culture Centre’s new Chairman Ranbir Parmar and President Harpal Singh Grewal assume key roles

Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): Dasmesh Culture Centre’s new Chairman, Ranbir Parmar, and President, Harpal Singh Grewal, assume key roles effective October 1st, 2025
The Dasmesh Culture Centre, one of Calgary’s largest and most respected Sikh institutions, has long served as a hub for spiritual, cultural, and community activities. A recent leadership dispute had caused uncertainty among the sangat (congregation), but the court’s decision now restores clarity and stability. Harpal Singh Grewal steps into the role of President, committed to focusing on community unity, youth engagement, transparency, and the preservation of cultural values, while continuing the Gurdwara’s tradition of seva (selfless service).

Community members have welcomed the decision, calling it a turning point for harmony and stability, ensuring that the institution remains a strong pillar of support for Sikhs and Calgarians alike.
