Gurpreet Singh :- In a significant breakthrough, the Counter Intelligence Unit of Ferozepur arrested a suspect and recovered 101 grams of heroin along with a foreign-made .30 bore pistol, a magazine and a mobile phone. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the police carried out a targeted operation leading to the arrest.
An FIR has been registered at Sadar Ferozepur police station under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and Arms Act. Police officials revealed that the accused was previously involved in a serious firing incident and had been absconding for a considerable period.
The accused has been taken on police remand, and further interrogation is underway. Authorities expect more crucial disclosures regarding the drug network and possible accomplices in the coming days.
