Congress Ramps Up for Tarn Taran By-Election, Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria In-Charge

National Times Bureau :- The Congress party has intensified preparations for the upcoming by-election in the Tarn Taran Assembly constituency. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria has been appointed as the in-charge for the by-election, following directives from Punjab Congress in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, party president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, and opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa.

The by-election was necessitated by the demise of AAP legislator Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal, leaving the seat vacant. So far, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has fielded Bibi Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa as its candidate, while the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced district president Harjit Singh Sandhu as its nominee. Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party are yet to declare their candidates for the constituency.

The by-election is expected to witness keen competition as political parties prepare to win the seat and consolidate their presence in the region.
