Cold Wave Tightens Grip on Punjab as Temperatures Continue to Drop

National Times Bureau :- A fresh spell of icy winds blowing in from the northern hills has triggered a noticeable dip in temperatures across Punjab, bringing a distinct winter chill to the region. According to the Meteorological Department, the state has witnessed a steady fall in mercury levels over the past 24 hours, with the minimum temperature nearing 5°C in several areas.

Faridkot emerged as the coldest district, recording a minimum of 5.6°C. Weather officials have clarified that the current pattern is expected to persist, with no forecast of rain until November 20. The week ahead is likely to remain dry and crisp.

Daytime temperatures in the northern and eastern districts are projected to hover between 24°C and 26°C, while the rest of Punjab should experience 26°C to 28°C. Minimum temperatures in the northern and south-western belts are expected to stay in the 6°C to 8°C range, with other regions settling between 8°C and 10°C.

With cold winds becoming more pronounced, Punjab is set for a week of dry yet mildly chilly weather as winter slowly tightens its grip across the state.
