CM Saini Directs Councillors to Play Active Role in Keeping Gurugram Clean; Redresses 15 Public Grievances

Gurugram/Chandigarh, July 16 — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram and urged municipal councillors to actively collaborate with officials to maintain and enhance the city’s cleanliness standards.

CM Saini emphasized that the state government will ensure no shortage of resources for sanitation efforts. He asked councillors to report directly to him if any official is found negligent in addressing public grievances.

15 Grievances Resolved; Absent Complainants Contacted via Phone
Of the 18 complaints raised during the meeting, the Chief Minister resolved 15 on the spot and instructed that the remaining three be taken up in the next session. He also personally called several complainants who were absent, to confirm that their issues had been resolved to their satisfaction.

Sanitation Inspector Faces Action for Negligence Near Jain Temple
Taking serious note of unsanitary conditions near the Jain Temple in Sadar Bazar, CM Saini ordered strict action against the area’s sanitation inspector. The complaint, raised by former committee member Advocate Ravindra Jain, highlighted that repeated requests to clean the waste near the temple were ignored. The Chief Minister warned officials to change their working style or face consequences.

Encroachment on Cremation Path in Bahora Kalan Village Addressed
A complainant from Bahora Kalan village reported an illegal encroachment on the government-designated cremation path. CM Saini instructed the Block Development Officer to immediately survey the site and take legal action against the encroacher if found guilty.


Instructions Issued Over Sewage Overflow in Jacobpura
Addressing a complaint from Jacobpura regarding persistent sewage overflow, the Chief Minister asked the Municipal Commissioner to fix responsibility on the concerned officer and initiate disciplinary action. He warned that ignoring citizens’ complaints would not be tolerated and instructed officials to act promptly to provide relief.

CM Urges Proactive Governance
Reinforcing the message of responsive governance, the Chief Minister reminded officials that citizens’ issues must be addressed swiftly and with seriousness. He also reiterated the importance of sanitation in urban development and directed continued focus on civic hygiene.

The meeting was attended by Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, Zila Parishad Chairperson Deepali Chaudhary, Gurugram Mayor Raj Rani Malhotra, Principal Urban Development Advisor D.S. Dhesi, GMDA CEO Shyamal Mishra, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, and other officials.
