CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to Inaugurate ₹46.24 Crore Development Projects in Kashipur

Kashipur, November 3, 2025: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will visit Kashipur on Tuesday to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects within the municipal area. He will also attend the State-Level Urban Local Bodies Conference as the chief guest.

During a press briefing held at the Municipal Corporation auditorium on Monday, Mayor Deepak Bali, along with Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Singh Bisht and local councillors, shared details about the visit. The Mayor said that multiple development works are actively being implemented in the region, with projects worth over ₹100 crore already completed since the current board took oath.

The Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development works worth ₹46.24 crore, including 159 road and drainage projects costing ₹30.73 crore and 69 essential development projects worth ₹5.62 crore.

Mayor Bali further informed that road construction under the first, second, and third phases has already begun on 505 roads across the municipal area, with about 70% of the work completed. Councillors Gunjan Prajapati, Beena Negi, Sanjay Sharma, Pushkar Bisht, Abdul Qadir, Deepa Pathak, Sharif Mohammad, and Manish were also present during the briefing.

Focus on Cleanliness, Safety, and Traffic Management

The Mayor announced that a gas-based animal cremation facility worth ₹3.40 crore will soon be built to address the issue of disposing of stray animal carcasses. To strengthen the city’s sanitation system, a hi-tech computerized control room worth ₹3.75 crore will be established for real-time monitoring of all 40 wards, vehicle operations, and digital complaint redressal.

More than 200 CCTV cameras will be installed across the city and connected to the police control room to improve safety and traffic control. Additionally, beautification works including vertical gardens, green benches, flower beds, and plantation drives worth ₹1.20 crore will also be launched.
