CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Casts Vote with Mother in U’khand Panchayat Polls, Urges Voters to Elect Development-Oriented Candidates

Khati­ma, July 24 — Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday exercised his franchise in the three-tier panchayat elections by standing in line and casting his vote at Booth No. 3 of the Government Model Primary School in Nagra Tarai. Accompanied by his mother, Bishna Devi, the Chief Minister actively participated in the democratic process.

Earlier in the morning, CM Dhami arrived via helicopter at the grounds of Sarraf Public School. He was warmly welcomed by local leaders, including Municipal Chairman Ramesh Chandra Joshi and Kashipur Mayor Deepak Bali, who greeted him with garlands and floral bouquets. Following the welcome, he proceeded with his mother to the polling booth in Nagra Tarai, where both mother and son cast their votes.

After voting, CM Dhami made an appeal to the citizens of the state to elect candidates who embody a vision for development. He stressed that every single vote plays a crucial role in empowering local panchayats and shaping the future of villages. Emphasising the importance of grassroots democracy, the Chief Minister urged voters to choose representatives who uphold the principles of development, transparency, and service.

“Your one vote has the power to transform the face of the village,” he stated, underlining the transformative potential of participatory governance.
