Chandigarh, October 8, 2025: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s three-day visit to Japan has emerged as a landmark step in the state’s industrial, agricultural, and technological growth, paving the way for investments worth nearly ₹5,000 crore. This marks the beginning of a new era in Haryana’s development trajectory.
Choosing Japan for his first foreign tour, Chief Minister Saini emphasized the historical bond between Japan and Haryana — a partnership that began in the 1980s when Maruti Udyog’s Japanese collaboration in Gurugram laid the foundation of modern Indian manufacturing. Over the past decade, Japan’s trust in Haryana as a global investment destination has only strengthened, thanks to the state’s industry-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, and transparent governance.
During the visit, the Haryana delegation met senior representatives from leading Japanese corporations including AISIN, Air Water, TASAI, Nambu, Denso, Sojitz, Nissin, Kawakin, Daikin, and Toppan. These engagements resulted in the signing of 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) amounting to over ₹4,400 crore, which are expected to generate thousands of new employment opportunities for youth in the state.
Japanese investors expressed deep confidence in Haryana’s transparent governance model and investor-friendly environment, committing to collaborate on projects in industrial growth, infrastructure, research, and innovation.
In line with his Budget 2025–26 vision, Chief Minister Saini announced plans to develop 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs), with one dedicated as a “Mini Japan City” — a collaborative industrial zone developed exclusively with Japanese partners. This initiative aims to deepen economic and cultural ties between the next generations of Japan and Haryana.
Highlighting his agricultural roots, Chief Minister Saini visited the Kubota Tractor Plant in Osaka, where Kubota announced an investment of over ₹2,000 crore in Haryana’s agricultural machinery sector. He described this partnership as the fusion of Japanese technology and Haryana’s hardworking farmers, predicting a new era of innovation in agriculture where Kubota tractors will soon power Haryana’s fields.
The Chief Minister said that his Japan visit was not just an investment drive but the beginning of Haryana’s transformation into a “Global Growth Hub”. The partnership between Japan and Haryana, he added, represents a shared journey of development, trust, and progress, beautifully showcased at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, where the Haryana Pavilion drew global attention for its vibrant display of culture, technology, and innovation.
The collaboration between Japan and Haryana, Saini affirmed, will play a vital role in realizing the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”, placing Haryana firmly on the map of a New, Developed India.
