Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued firm instructions to Public Works Department officials, warning that no negligence or compromise in the quality of roads and building construction will be tolerated. He said officers who deliberately leave loopholes in designs and tender documents while awarding projects will face strict action. The Chief Minister stressed that construction material quality must be maintained at all levels without exception.
Saini gave these directions while chairing a cabinet sub-committee meeting of the PWD. Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa was also present.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister approved key projects, including enhancement of the Para-Olympic building near Nahar Singh Stadium in Faridabad, construction of five residential complexes for junior and senior civil judges at the judicial complex in Mahendragarh, and enhancement of the government girls’ senior secondary school building in Dhigawa Jatan, Charkhi Dadri.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) within two months for Haryana Sports University, Rai (Sonipat). The DPR will cover the administrative building, academic block, hostels, sports infrastructure, and the entire campus layout. He emphasized that the design should reflect the requirements of players and provide world-class facilities.
Additional Chief Secretary of PWD Anurag Aggarwal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Secondary Education Department Vineet Garg, Principal Secretary of the Sports Department Navdeep Virk, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
