Chandigarh, January 15: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday inaugurated the renovation and redevelopment works of Tau Devi Lal Town Park, located in the PLA area of Hisar. On the occasion, the Chief Minister toured the park and reviewed the facilities created for the public.
The Chief Minister said that the town park has been developed on the Panchatatva (Five Elements) theme, which represents an excellent blend of modern art and innovation. The objective of the project is to provide citizens with a modern, theme-based, and recreational public space. An open-air theatre has been constructed in the park for cultural and other public events. In addition, a medicinal plants garden has been developed to promote AYUSH, biodiversity, and environmental conservation.
He said that key attractions of the park include a Surya Namaskar statue, Invisible Sculpture, jogging and walking tracks, musical fountain and water bodies, children’s play area, water lake, glass deck overlooking the lake, outdoor gym, visitor parking, and food stalls. Spread over an area of 12 acres, a total amount of ₹14.72 crore has been spent on the renovation and redevelopment of the park.
Earlier, upon his arrival at the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome with garlands, shawls, and mementos.
On the occasion, Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Hisar MLA Savitri Jindal, Nalwa MLA Randhir Panihar, Mayor Praveen Popli, Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal, along with other distinguished citizens, councillors from various wards, and public representatives were present.
