CM Nayab Singh Saini Directs Formation of Research Committees for Sikh and Sant Ravidas Museums in Kurukshetra

Chandigarh, September 16: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed the formation of research committees for the upcoming Sikh Museum and Heritage Centre and the Sant Ravidas Bhawan and Museum in Kurukshetra. These committees will examine and authenticate content related to the life journeys, teachings, and ideals of the revered Gurus to ensure the projects move forward with authenticity and speed.

The CM chaired a review meeting today to assess the progress of both ambitious projects. He also reviewed the concept designs and instructed officials to present at least four to five options, stressing that the best design should be finalized without delay. He emphasized that the architectural plans must ensure structural uniformity, making the museums impressive and aesthetically appealing from all sides.

Saini said the Sikh Museum should comprehensively depict Sikh history, culture, and the Gurus’ journeys, while the Sant Ravidas Museum should reflect not only architectural grandeur but also the spiritual vision, teachings, and enduring message of social harmony of Sant Ravidas.

He further suggested that books on Sikh Gurus’ history and teachings, along with those on Sant Ravidas’s life and philosophy, should be prepared in advance for release at the inauguration of the museums.

The state government is setting up the Sikh Museum and Heritage Centre on three acres of land, and the Sant Ravidas Bhawan and Museum on five acres in Kurukshetra, with the aim of preserving sacred heritage and spreading the Gurus’ life philosophies to the public.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the CM Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Heritage Department Kala Ramachandran, DG (Information, Public Relations & Languages) K. Makarand Pandurang, OSD Bharat Bhushan Bharti, OSD Dr. Prabhleen Singh, Executive President of Haryana Sahitya and Sanskrit Academy Prof. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, along with other senior officials.
