CM Nayab Singh Saini Announces Matching Grant and Honorary Initiatives for Brahmin Community on Parshuram Jayanti

Chandigarh, May 30 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced a matching grant to the Gaur Brahmin Vidya Pracharini Sabha in village Peharawar for the construction of educational institutions under Campus-III. He stated that the state government would provide a grant greater than the amount raised by the community for this purpose. Additionally, he declared that a major park in the state would be named after Lord Parshuram.

The Chief Minister made these announcements on Friday during a state-level event in village Peharawar, district Rohtak, held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram. He also announced a grant of ₹51 lakh to the community’s organization. Saini further assured that other demands raised by the community would be sent to the relevant departments for feasibility checks and fulfilled on a priority basis.

Earlier, CM Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for nine projects worth ₹61.23 crore. This includes the foundation laying of five projects worth ₹54.26 crore and the inauguration of four projects worth ₹6.97 crore.

Paying tribute to Lord Parshuram, Sikh Guru Arjan Dev Ji on his martyrdom day, and Arut Maharaj on his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister emphasized that these revered figures dedicated their lives to the cause of religion, social unity, harmony, and cultural preservation. Their journeys, he said, continue to inspire all to walk the path of righteousness and serve humanity.

Calling Lord Parshuram a mighty warrior, Vedic scholar, and a great social reformer, CM Saini praised him as a rare figure who, despite being a Brahmin, took up arms to destroy injustice and evil. His life teaches that the balance of knowledge and strength is essential for societal progress. The CM noted that Haryana has been a land of valor, wisdom, and tradition. Lord Parshuram once said that even wielding weapons to protect righteousness is a form of penance.

Saini linked the message of Parshuram to the mission of building a “Viksit Bharat – Viksit Haryana” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He said the values and ideals of Lord Parshuram inspire us to stay on the right path and contribute to nation-building through missions like Digital India and Startup India. Just like Parshuram’s firm resolve, we too must dedicate ourselves to making India a global leader once again.

He further drew a connection between Parshuram’s spirit and the Indian Army’s decisive action under PM Modi after the Pulwama attack. Under “Operation Sindoor,” Indian forces destroyed terror bases in Pakistan without harming civilians, sending a clear message that any provocation will be firmly countered.

Highlighting state efforts for the welfare of the Brahmin community, Saini announced that the medical college in Kaithal has been named after Lord Parshuram to inspire future generations with his teachings. He added that a gazetted holiday has been declared on Parshuram Jayanti, and the long-standing land dispute involving Gaur Brahmin College in Peharawar has been resolved. Moreover, the government has approved 100 BAMS seats at Gaur Brahmin Ayurveda College and started classes. A postal stamp in Parshuram’s honor has also been issued. Additionally, land has been allocated for a Brahmin dharamshala in Karnal.

The CM encouraged youth to recognize and awaken the qualities of courage and service embodied by Lord Parshuram, urging them to contribute to building a progressive India and Haryana.

“Brahmins Must Uphold Morality and Ideals” – Dr. Arvind Sharma

Minister of Cooperation and Heritage & Tourism, Dr. Arvind Sharma welcomed the CM and praised him as a true representative of farmers, laborers, the poor, and all 36 communities. He emphasized that Brahmins serve society at large, hence the event saw participation from various communities. He said the Brahmin’s primary role is to elevate morality and uphold noble traditions, with Lord Parshuram as the best example. He also announced that a grand statue of Lord Parshuram would be erected at the event site and presented other demands of the community to the CM.

“Parshuram Was a Warrior and Protector of Dharma” – Mohan Lal Kaushik

BJP State President Mohan Lal Kaushik saluted Lord Parshuram, describing him as a great warrior and protector of Sanatan Dharma and culture. He stood against injustice and established equality and justice in society. Kaushik thanked former CM Manohar Lal for resolving the land dispute and said the upcoming educational institutions would benefit children from all communities, contributing to PM Modi’s vision of a developed India.

Also present were Cabinet Ministers Krishan Lal Panwar, Mahipal Dhanda, Ranbir Gangwa, Minister of State Gaurav Gautam, and other dignitaries.
