Chandigarh, April 12 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini visited Ramgarh village in Panchkula district on Saturday as part of the “Gaon Chalo” campaign. He began his day with prayers at a Lord Shiva temple, where he also took part in a cleanliness drive, inspiring villagers to embrace hygiene and cleanliness.

CM Saini extended greetings for Hanuman Jayanti and announced Rs 21 lakh for the development of Ramgarh village. Addressing the villagers at the local chaupal, he emphasized the importance of continuous grassroots engagement, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes leaders should connect with the people and solve their problems, election or no election.

He criticized the opposition for visiting villages only during elections with hollow promises and stated that the people have now rejected such tactics. “With a triple-engine government in place, Haryana’s development is moving at triple speed,” he said.

CM Saini assured that his government would not allow injustice to anyone. Highlighting road improvements, he pointed out that the journey from Ramgarh to Saharanpur now takes just 45 minutes.

Sharing his experiences, he revealed that nearly 1.5 lakh people had visited his official residence in recent months, and the government successfully resolved issues for around 75,000 of them.

Focusing on education, the Chief Minister reiterated his government’s goal of having a college every 20 kilometers, ensuring easy access to higher education for girls. “We’ve fulfilled that dream,” he said. He also noted that all crops are now being procured at MSP, and the government is investing in infrastructure to benefit farmers.

He announced that Asia’s largest mustard oil mill will be set up in Rewari and a major sunflower oil mill will come up in Kurukshetra to support local farmers.

Later, the CM inspected the community health center in Ramgarh and reviewed the medical services. He also visited the solar-powered Anganwadi center, where he interacted warmly with young girls and handed out chocolates as a gesture of goodwill.

Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal and former Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta were among other dignitaries present during the visit.
