Chandigarh, May 28, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday expressed profound grief over the demise of senior Akali leader and former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa. The 89-year-old stalwart passed away at a private hospital in Mohali earlier in the evening. He is survived by his wife, son, and two daughters.
In his condolence message, CM Mann acknowledged Dhindsa’s lifelong dedication to public service and his significant contributions to the welfare of the people of Punjab. The Chief Minister described Dhindsa as a towering political figure whose loss leaves a deep void in state and national politics.
